Also contains a copy of a document entitled "The Hurt Generations" which is conveniently categorized, a copy of another document entitled "The Hurt Family" beginning with James Hurt (m. 1782), two copies of a family newsletter entitled "Hurt Notes" dated December 1963 and May 1963 respectively, a copy of a newspaper article entitled "Our Neighbors, The Hurt Family" dated 8 September 1960, a copy of a marriage license involving Henry Hurt and Martha Jane Hurt dated 11 January 1848, a copy of the death certificate Dora Isler Pyle, and a family pedigree.

Contains a copy of a document entitled "A Short History of the Chickamauga People" printed by the Chickamauga Cherokee Indian Nation which is attempting to locate and enroll descendants of the "original 2000 Chickamauga Cherokees who refused to relocate."

Folder 4: Igo

Contains correspondence between Vockery and Larry E. Williams regarding William Igo/Iguo (b.1775), and with Jerry McDaniel regarding the marriage certificate of William Igo to Mary Raybourn (m. 1805).

Folder 5: Irvine

Contains correspondence between Vockery and Carolyn Terrell, Olivia White Cave, JoAnn EuDaly, Peg Shock, Eunice E. Allison, Sheila Evans, Barbara Irvine-Supernowicz. Also contains a copy of the last will and testament of Benjamin Irvine dated 7 May 1832, a copy of the division of the estate of David Irvine dated 13 April 1869, a copy of a document entitled "A Family Record of the Descendants of Austin and Jane Seward," a copy of the last will and testament of Christopher Irvine dated 17 April 1814.

Folder 6: "J"

Contains correspondence between Vockery and Marlene Shinkle regarding the marriage of Garrett Jamison to Jane Caldwell on 18 October 1795, and correspondence between Vockery and Sarah J. Aden regarding a request for copies of Order Books, specifically their address of "J's."

Contains a copy of the last will and testament John Jackman dated 4 August 1807, and family group records.

Folder 8: Jackson

Contains correspondence between Vockery and Richard L. Jackson, Janie Lackey, Christine B. Stephens. Also contains a biographical sketch of Thomas C. Jackson (b. 1840), a copy of a document legally emancipating Evan Jackson, son of Elseay and Rachel Jackson, dated 8 November 1816.

Contains correspondence between Vockery and Emily Watson Wilkinson, Edith C. Blankenship, Keith W. Holcomb, Viola M. James. Also contains copies from the 1880 Madison County Census record, and a copy of daily register log including purchases made by several members of the James family dated 5 July 1813.

Folder 10: Jarvis

Contains a single correspondence between Vockery and Wanda Christy regarding the Jarvis family in Lincoln and Garrard Counties.

Folder 11: Jeffries

Contains correspondence between Vockery and Preston Nicholas, "Mrs. Warren L. Faller," "Mrs. R. Logan," and Janice (Jeffreys) von Shummer. Also contains family group records, and a copy of a deed of conveyance involving William Jeffreys dated 9 February 1809.

Folder 12: Jenkins

Contains correspondence between Vockery and Anne Able, Barbara Monce. Also contains a copy of a administrative settlement involving Johnathan Jenkins dated 15 December 1824, family group records, a copy of a deed of conveyance involving Thomas Jenkins dated 22 April 1824, a copy of a document entitled "Some Descendants of William Jenkins 1785-1849."

Van Cleave, and David W. Vandeveer, and a copy of a document entitled "Origins of Family of William Jones, Sr. (1748-1821) & Mary Vendever (1754-1847) published by Terrence Weisshaar in October 1998.
