Scope and Contents: The Stone family papers from Nelson County, Kentucky. The collection includes two issues of a supplement to The Penny Magazine, dated November 30, 1834 and December 31, 1834. There is an Adjutant General's Report of the Army in Mexico under General Z. Taylor, dated November 30, 1847. There are receipts from various family members as well as correspondence. One letter is from Thomas S. Stephens while he was a student at the Western Military Institute at Blue Lick, Kentucky in 1850.
