Scope and Contents:

The Leever/Edmondson Family Papers include materials collected for four generations and includes information from the Leever, Crane and Vanosdal families of Clermont County, Ohio, the Lawhorn family of Casey County, Kentucky and the Edmondson family of Owen and Gallatin Counties, Kentucky.

Items of interest in the collection are the daily diaries of several family members, a daily record of expenses throughout the Great Depression, records relating to agricultural interests of the family, and information about Forest Leever who was a conscientious Objector during World War II.

There is also a strong emphasis on the genealogy of all the families noted above. The genealogical records include interesting stories about many individuals, but also include some inaccurate information about distant ancestors.
