Collection Overview
Scope and Contents of the Materials
The photos in this collection were taken by Dr. Robert E. Bagby, ranging from the 1970s up to about 2008, though most are from the 1990s and early 2000s. Much of the collection is associated with Eastern Kentucky University, especially the athletics teams and the College of Justice and Safety, where Dr. Bagby taught. The collection also includes many news and public events in Richmond including the Glen Rogers hearing, Paul Patton's "Patton to the People" tour, Colin Powell's "America's Promise" tour, and the Harris-Scott-Stivers Memorial Dedication. Dr. Bagby also covered the Richmond Chamber of Commerce, the Rotary Club, and the Blue Grass Army Depot.

He provided photos to the Richmond Register and other local news sources. Dr. Bagby passed away on August 17, 2011 at the age of 82 and is buried in Richmond Cemetery.
