Scope and Contents of the Materials
This collection consists primarily of correspondence to G.C. Stocker, land documents and contracts, and photos of various people who are usually not named or identified. Also included are two documents from the Civil War which release William Stocker from Confederate custody and also draft him into the Union military.

- Notice of parole for prisoner of war, William Stocker.
- Item 2: Notice of Draft, September 21, 1864
- Notice of draft into the United States military for a period of one year for William Stocker.
- Folder 2: Correspondence
- Item 1: To G.C. Stocker, March 23, 1894
- Letter to G.C. Stocker from a relative relaying news about the family, their conditions, local occurrences, the weather, and other such news. Another item included is a letter from Stocker's sister talking about how good of a person she is and what all she has done to help others in her lifetime.
- Item 2: To G.C. Stocker, March 24, 1895
- Letter to G.C. Stocker from his cousin, Minnie Searbrough, talking about old times, how often she hears others speak well of him, school, and plans for the future.
- Item 3: To G.C. Stocker, August 13, 1895
- Letter to G.C. Stocker from his father telling him that all is well besides his eyes which have been sore. He also notes that people have been praising Stocker and that they wish him well. Also enclosed is a letter from Stocker's sister, Lizzie, which speaks of health, a new doctor whom is helping with his ailment, local occurrences, visitation of their sister's grave, and gives praise to G.C.
- Item 4: To G.C. Stocker, May 23, 1896
- Letter to Stocker from his cousin, Minnie, talking about how she liked his compliments to her, what his life is like in college as well as who his roommate is, and what her plans for the future are. She also asks many questions about his preaching.
- Item 5: To G.C. Stocker, September 19,1896
- Letters from Stocker's mother and brother talking about the weather, family matters, local occurrences, a trip to Lexington, a financial matter, and how they wished he would come to visit before it got cold again.
- Item 6: To G.C. Stocker, 5 Feb 1900
- Letter to Stocker from a lady named Alura talking about how things have been for her since being diagnosed with smallpox. She notes that she is rid of the disease and that there is no reason to fear visitation or even the paper on which she wrote.
- Item 7: To Bonnie, 29 Apr 1900
- G.C. Stocker writes to his lover, Bonnie, and tells her that he forgives her wrongdoing and hopes that she will keep him as her lover also.
- Item 8: To G.C. Stocker, 12 May 1900
- Letter to G.C. Stocker from his sweetheart, Bonnie, talking about how she is glad that their rough times are behind them, a trip she decided not to take, and a prank that she played on her mother. She says that it is her birthday and that she would be pleased to see him if he decided to come to dinner.
- Item 9: To Alma Whitlock, 20 Sep 1900
- Letter to Ms. Whitlock asking her to church the next week if she has no other plans. Also talks about how her letters are always well received, and some praises are also included.
- Item 10: To G.C. Stocker
- Letter to Stocker from his sweetheart, Bonnie, who reports that she is trying to figure out a good pet name for him, that she had a strange dream and was anxious to tell him, and that she is only and cannot wait to see him at church the following week.

- Land contract between T.L. Burnam and G.C. Stocker which grants Stocker the ownership of Burnam's land.

- Court issued deed from the Schlegel family to Greene Stocker following a land auction.
