Scope and Contents of the Materials

Robert Morris and Lucy Teater Creech were both alumni of Eastern, so this collection consists of materials from their years at Eastern as well as activities they were involved in as alumni. These include information Eastern's Gold Star Men, the Class of 1939, and the marching band.

Collection Historical Note

Lucy Teater was born on December 4th, 1915 in Richmond, KY. Her parents were Buford and May Scott Teater. She graduated from Eastern Kentucky University in 1939 and was a teacher in the Bourbon County Schools for a time. She married Robert Morris Creech, a 1937 Eastern alum and they had four children. Mrs. Creech died on May 1st, 2016 at 100 years of age in Satellite Beach, Florida and was buried in the Richmond Kentucky Cemetery with her husband.
