Scope and Contents: This collection includes some of the earliest color images of Eastern's campus and faculty and students. Subjects include homecoming, classroom activities, student life, athletics and campus scenes. Most of the collection consists of 2x2 and 3x3 mounted slides, but also includes some film that was never mounted as well as some large format (4x5 , 5x7) film. The University seems to have initially used color transparencies for the color images that appeared at the front of the yearbook; however, they later used them for student recruitment and instruction activities.
The collection may be used for all types of research, keeping in mind that individuals are often unidentified, so search broadly. For a full inventory of the collection please visit and search Digital Collections.
