Scope and Contents of the Materials
This collection includes a ledger from the Harber and Huguely store in Richmond, Kentucky in the early 1900s. The ledger lists accounts for all the people purchasing from the store thus documenting the economy of Richmond at the time. It also documents the education of Frances Mason Samuels.
Collection Historical Note
Frances Mason Samuels (1920-2009) was born in Canton, Ohio to Everett and Lula Wertz Samuels. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Richmond, and had done clerical work for Burnam & Harber and Whitaker & Vencil Insurance Companies. Mrs. Cosby was a member of Madison Country Club and the VFW Auxiliary. She was married to Albert Cosby (1914-1995).

The people named in these documents include W. Overton and Rachel W. Harber, Leoti Hardin and Si Minter. A brief document detailing the children of John B. Raine is also included.
