Scope and Contents of the Materials
This collection documents the activities of the Eastern Kentucky University Student Association from the years of 1964-1975. This includes correspondence between the Student Association and the Attorney General, President Robert. R Martin, and Vice President of Student Affairs Thomas D. Myers, as well as some general correspondence. Many folders highlight specific university committees and minutes of committee meetings, including the Committee on Academic Affairs, the Committee on Student Rights and Responsibilities, the Committee on Drug Abuse, and many others. There is also a significant amount of information on dormitories and questions of equality regarding Women’s Hours in dormitories. Election information on both EKU elections and voter registration for local, state, and national elections can be found in this collection as well. The Student Senate is also significant to this collection, as a large portion of it includes minutes and motions of student senate meetings. In addition to this, proceedings of the Student Court can be found within the collection.

Also includes correspondence with Attorney General Ed Hancock regarding similar topics of university concerns.

- Contains an Eastern Progress article written about the proposal of a Bachelor of General Studies degree, requirements for earning a degree in General Studies, and procedures for entering the Bachelor of General Studies program.

- Contains an invitation and a program to the EKU Student Association's inaugural ceremony and banquet.

- Contains an invitation to the EKU Student Association's inaugural ceremony and banquet. Also includes RSVP letters for the event and speeches for the banquet's introduction, opening, and introduction of Lieutenant Governor Wendell H. Ford, and an address to the Student Association given by the Student Association president, James V. Pellegrinon.

Also includes excerpts from minutes of the Board of Regents regarding an amendment to the constitution of the Student Association.
