Scope and Contents of the Materials
Lora Mae Harlow 'Pat' Martin was a Champion for Peace. She was a member of the Women's International League for Peace and Freedom and was active in many other organizations. She also owned a business, Martin Service Company, with her husband, Harry Martin, who died in 1940. Collection consists mostly of correspondence with the President of the United States and his staff, her representatives in Congress, family photographs as well as photos of EKU faculty and staff in 1919, newspaper clippings, company correspondence, various personal letters, and letters/newspaper articles from various local organizations. In her letters she supports her statements and opinions with fact and references numerous news articles, radio addresses, Presidential speeches and statements made by the White House staff.

- Folder includes a client list, company reviews, safety inspection reports and correspondence, additional payment applications, company briefs and disability/incident reports.

- Contains funeral notices, WILPF newsletters, an application for a four year provisional certificate and receipts. Correspondence to Robert Drinan, Howard Metzenbaum, Thomas Luken, and John Glenn regarding Criminal bill S1/S1437, weapon control, HR 2712, Nuclear power, and South Vietnam. Newspaper clippings on these topics as well as WILPF are included.
