Scope and Contents: Abner Baker used this memorandum book to record events, dates, etc. relating to the family. In it he has transcribed letters, quotes from books and poetry. He also has a brief autobiography at the start of the book. He occasionally included news clippings as well. The text includes a significant amount of Christian teachings and sermons as Mr. Baker was a part-time preacher in addition to serving as court clerk in Clay County, KY.
