Name: Pates, John R. (1866-1941)
Historical Note: John R. Pates (1866-1941), was an employee of the Riney-B Railroad. He was the conductor for many years and was promoted to superintendent in 1904. He was well known and well liked throughout the communities that he was a part of, along with his family. He was married to Eva McGinn and they had two children together, Jeanette Pates and John R. Pates Jr.
