Name: Miller, W. H. (William Harris) (1852-1928)

Historical Note: William Harris Miller was a Kentuckian genealogist who published History and the Genealogies of the Miller, Woods, Harris, Waller, Maupin, Oldham, Kavanaugh, and Brown Families in 1907. Miller was born on October 22, 1852. At age 19, he was deputy county clerk under George D. Shackelford, and went on to serve as deputy sheriff under Charles K. Oldham. Miller was later appointed circuit court clerk, where he became acquainted with records and names around Madison County. He married Katherine Oldham on February 17, 1884. Miller died of a long-term illness on August 2, 1928, at age 75.
