Scope and Contents: The records of the Office of Sports Information, which reports to the Assistant Athletic Director for External Affairs, consist of seven boxes of material arranged in alphabetical order by folder title and chronologically within each folder. The records cover the years from 1977 to 1985 and deals with all aspects of Eastern's intercollegiate athletic programs. Information on individual baseball and men's and women's basketball games appears along with year-end cumulative statistics, newspaper clippings of games, sports programs advertisers, and press releases. Also included in the subject series are memorandums of the OVC Commissioner's Office, conference yearbooks, press releases, and general information on various sports including swimming, golf, cross-country, tennis, track, volleyball, and gymnastics. Newspaper articles have been photocopied for preservation purposes.
